Auditory Leading - This is where the main focus of the music is based around the artist/band and them performing the song.
The Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be
These music videos are both focused on the bands performing their own songs, in the Kooks video you see the main singer with a microphone and the rest of the band playing their instruments this is the stereotypical image that comes to mind when we think of a band and by fulfilling these characteristics the audience already knows what they expect from the video. The Kooks start off in one place performing the song, which is broken up by clips of random videos of the band. They then move to other locations still carrying the characteristics of a band, the main singer is the main feature of the majority of the whole video.
Guns N' Roses video differs slightly from the Kooks, theirs is still performance based but it it set at an actual concert and is based in front of a live audience. A lot of the footage is from live performances which have been edited together to form the whole video. The lead singer is still the main focus of majority of the video, but it also includes a lot of footage of the crowds, this not only shows their fan base but also promotes the atmosphere at the concerts. Bands like Guns N' Roses are known for their concerts and tours, promotion through the music video could be a way for people who have never experienced one of their concerts to have a sneak preview and maybe encourage sales of the next event.
