My initial ideas were to have a singer and an actor, who seem fairly similar, and have a simple overlaying narrative throughout the whole video with clips of the singer singing certain lines and verses. This idea is still put in to practice, however I wanted the singer to play a more important role in the video. This is so that the audience have a memorable character, making branding and creating the image that the viewers percieve of the singer much easier to portray.
In my third draft version of storyboards I decided to make a change which would affect the whole filming process. Instead of using a generic singer to sing the verses, I decided to use a child as the main singer prefererably of around 10 years old. This creates and innovative music video which is highly recognisable and could even be turned in to a brand.
It allows the video to show contrast between the younger character (singer) and the older character (actor) and the younger character could be interpreted as a younger version of the actor but still speaking from the older characters perspective. This adds deeper meaning to the video and also encourages the audience to remember the video.
