The Saturdays are a stylish girl band conisisting of five members. They appeal to mainly teenage girls but also attract other types of audiences as they produce music which the whole family can enjoy.
The Saturdays website promotes their new album directly by showing the album cover of "Headlines" right at the top of the page as a huge banner. This immediatly grabs the audiences attention and so showing they are going for the very "in your face" appeal to promote themselves. Each artist has their own page on the site and so the viewers get a chance to become very personal with each member making them an interactive part of the band. They get the chance to follow each members diary including a video log where the artist speaks directly to the viewer. The viewer can also comment on the video and the artist can respond directly to any entry.
The Saturdays have been very successful in their ploy to attract their target audiences attention, they act as one of the more traditional girl bands and promote their music in a traditional way through radio, tv and magazines. This gives the band a direct link to their audience, they have not needed to use any new or special techniques because their viewers are easily accessible.
