Popular Inspirational Artists - Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga Before She Was Famous
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta better known by her stage name "Lady Gaga" is a singer/songwriter. Her music is based around the pop/dance genre and has a very futuristic feel to it, it can be argued that her music can be compared with a lot of other artists out there such as the likes of "Ke$ha" however it is Lady Gagas image which sets her apart and makes her an inspirational artist. She started out as a songwriter until the artist Akon recognised her musical talent and signed her to his own label.

Before she was famous, she had different colour hair and a whole different image, the footage below gives you an example of what her style used to be like:

As a result of a mass-marketing campaign she is now one of the most famous pop artists out there. Her image was created as a part of that campaign, she is known for her eccentric fashion, mystifying music videos and extreme outfits. In one of her videos she wears a hate made from telephones and puts diet coke cans in her hair. Lady gagas stage name also is trying to identify that shes crazy and individual, the definition of gaga being "Silly, Crazy, Completely absorbed, Infatuated, or Excited". The lyrics from the song Bad Romance can be said to be almost abstract to the everyday listener "Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Rom-mah-rom-mum-mah! GaGa-oo-la-la!", her music videos are inspirational to media students as they carry an individual tone and sets Lady Gaga apart from other artists in the same genre.

I could use Lady Gagas idea of becoming so different from other artists to promote my own album, by making sure the album is seen as completely new and innovative people will be naturally drawn to it to see what it is all about. However, this can sometimes give an adverse affect on the audience, sometimes its "hate it or love it" with the viewers.
