Target Audience


JLS are a boyband which appeal to females, particulary younger teenagers. They are made up of four members and are a result of their appearance on the show "The X Factor". They have signed an American deal with Jive Records.


JLS's website is set out in a very similar way to 50 Cents website, the latest video is in the middle of the page and there is a news feed on the left hand side. The colours of the website are reflected by the album cover which gives it a very clean and cool look but nothing really stands out on the page. The online store is mainly for selling JLS t-shirts and hoodys but also sells keyrings, mugs,posters, wristbands, bags and vests. The website offers freebies such as a free poster with purchase of a single, this is a good way to pull in sales as many females put up posters in their bedroom of their favourite bands.

However, the website looks very commercial there is nothing different or innovative about the site because they offer what every other artists websites offer and is laid out in the same way. Although it looks very professional it is easy to scroll through the heaps of information, missing anything you might be interested in.
